Google guitar – Chura liya hai 7
As you might be aware (unless you live under the rock that google dominates), today’s google logo was dedicated to Les Paul (you can quickly forget who this was). Not only is it in the shape of a guitar’s chords, it is also interactive. So you can hover your mouse over the chords and “pluck” & “strum” by just moving the mouse! Clicking the keyboard shaped thingy converts your keyboard into a mini casio with (barely) one octave. So all day today, several enthusiasts (read everyone who wandered to the google homepage) have been playing music on it and making very productive use of their time. This reminds me of the day the google logo had a Pacman game in it. It was so popular that google obviously kept it even later. I am hoping we would be able to strum the google guitar after today as well.
For some part of my day, I was intermittently going back to the google guitar and trying to figure out the tune of “Chura liya”. So here I present to all you enthu folks – the full song’s “codes” which can be played on the keyboard. Please note, since these are just letters and not sheet music, you would have to figure out the pauses & the speed of the music yourself. Hopefully you would be able to, since it’s a fairly common song. Also since the sharps & flats are not available in this mini keyboard, in some places, the tune would be just “coming close to” the actual tune and may not be “exactly same”. In case you are unable to access the guitar at google.com, try google.uk or google.us. Later the logo would be available at google.com/logos .

.. if we still have google’s guitar with us beyond tomorrow, I’ll try and record what I played & update this post. As Manmohan Singh would have put it, Enjaai. 🙂
